A Dad Who Loves to Draw

Welcome.

My name is Kurt Aspland and I am A Dad Who Draws.

I have been drawing, painting, and teaching for over 30 years. I have taught at Drexel University in Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania School of Art and Design. Teaching is near to my heart as an artist and an educator. It is my inspiration for creating this site, A Dad Who Draws to encourage anyone, at any level, to draw.

I want you to learn to love drawing and to love learning how to draw. Click on the button and draw with me in my daily drawing sessions as we learn to overcome the envy, frustration and difficulty associated with art. My daily lessons are designed with the beginner, intermediate, and advanced student in mind. Draw every day and engage with others, and I promise you will get better!

Kurt Aspland is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and has been drawing, painting and teaching for well over 30 years. He has been published in multiple magazines including The Disney Magazine, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and Dallas Morning News to name a few. He has had multiple interviews and articles written about his work in both the United States and International press as well.
