Draw with Confindence

This class is designed so you can master the basics of drawing quick.

Every building needs a good foundation or it will fall. I designed this class for the student who has never taken an art class before or the beginner who would like a refresher course. It is designed so you can get headed in the right direction.

Join for FREE so you can draw with confidence.

The exercises in this class will set you up for success, so you can draw anything.

I wouldn’t normally attempt the same drawing again, especially not a couple of days apart but this week I didn’t think I would have time to watch the video- I did however have 45mins on a train. So I attempted the first drawing on my own using the reference photo whilst on an occasionally bumpy ride. Tonight I managed to make time to watch Kurt & as you can see there is a difference.

"I have never been any kind of artist, in fact have always shied away from drawing as I was also told I was “no good at art” as a child, and it stuck! But this group and guidance has given me the confidence to give it a go and I am loving it. Thank you for that!!"

It was just after Christmas 2021 I thought to myself I'm going to learn something new, having never picked up a pencil until then I got off to a shaky start, but with help from some great members and guidance from a very instructive and patient Kurt, practicing everyday my drawing skills have greatly improved I'm now much more confident and on my way to becoming a better artist.

Welcome.

My name is Kurt Aspland and I am A Dad Who Draws.

I have been drawing, painting, and teaching for over 30 years. I have taught at Drexel University in Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania School of Art and Design. Teaching is near to my heart as an artist and an educator. It is my inspiration for creating Kurt Aspland Studio to encourage anyone, at any level, to draw.

I want you to learn to love drawing and to love learning how to draw. Click on the button and draw with me in my daily secessions as we learn to overcome the envy, frustration and difficultly associated with art. My daily lessons are designed with the beginner, intermediate, and advanced student in mind. Draw everyday and engage with others, and I promise you will get better!
